Primary 6-7 pupils recently entered the Young Writers 'Travel Back in Rhyme' Writing competition. Each child wrote a poem using their combined literacy and historical skills and entries were submitted for possible publication in a regional anthology. The Young Writers Editorial Team then selected poems from a range of schools on the basis of imagination, expression, interpretation of poetry, use of language and description.
As a result, all P6-7 children's work was selected for publication!!! Winners will now be selected at individual and school level by the Young Writers Editorial Team with prizes for the best 7 schools up for grabs.
