HAPPY WORLD BOOK DAY 2019
Yesterday in school we celebrated all that is wonderful about books!
Children came to school dressed as their favourite book character. Pupils got together in their teams and participated in Literacy Stations.
Pupils had the opportunity to design book marks, listen to stories, create storyboards, use story puppets, read non fiction books, build scenes from lego, design book bunting and front covers of their favourite stories.
After lunch the children took part in a costume parade to showcase all their efforts and prizes were awarded to the best dressed! Well done everyone for taking part!
Last night, P1-P4 children came together in school from 6.30pm-7.30pm for 'Book & Bear Night.' Children came to school in their pyjamas and brought their teddy bear along to listen to stories and have their supper before going home and tucking up for the night.
We hope everyone enjoyed celebrating World Book Day!
