With a heavy heart, Mrs McAuley announced at the end of June 2013 that she was leaving St. Mary's PS following her appointment as Principal of Recarson PS in Omagh.
Mrs McAuley spoke at a special presentation made at the school's End of Year Mass:
"During the past five years, I have been privileged to lead and manage St. Mary’s PS and feel extremely proud of where the school has come in this time and what has been achieved through the hard work and dedication of many people who shared my vision. I pay tribute to the Board of Governors, staff and parents for supporting me and for contributing, with such commitment, to the school’s development and to the education of its pupils. I leave the school with wonderful, warm memories and will always view these past five years as a period of time that enriched my personal and professional experience. I wish the school and community continued success in the future."
All in St. Mary's PS wish Mrs McAuley every success in her new post.
